Ramabai, Dongre Medhavi [Pandita Ramabai Sarasvati] (1858-1922)

Indian Christian social reformer, professional and Bible translator

Ramabai Dongre (Dongre was her family name, Medhavi her married name) was innate into a high-caste Hindu kith and kin. Her father was a homeless professional reciter of Hindu titanic and mythological texts.
